Getting started

Open Parva, set a daily limit for short-form video, and turn on protection. When iOS asks you to approve a network configuration, allow it — this is what lets Parva measure your short-form video time on-device. Once you pass your limit, Parva gently eases short-form video down so it’s easier to put your phone away.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Parva ask to add a VPN configuration?
Parva uses an on-device network filter to measure the volume and timing of short-form video so it can enforce the limits you set. It runs entirely on your device. Parva never decrypts your traffic, never reads your messages, and never routes your data through outside servers.

Does Parva slow down everything?
No. Only short-form video is affected, and only after you go over the limit you set. Messages, the regular feed, and other apps stay fast.

How do I change or remove a limit?
Open Parva and go to the Limits screen. You can adjust your overall limit, set per-app limits, or remove them at any time. Changes take effect right away.

Parva doesn’t seem to be working.
Make sure protection is turned on and the network configuration is approved (you can check under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management). If it still isn’t working, email us and we’ll help.
